Too cool for school.

Do you know how cool it is to go to the gym wearing odd socks? Not very cool at all. Probably you do not know, because y'all seem quite fashionable and sensible out there in the blogosphere. That is, until the arrival of the fashion disaster that is me.

They weren't even vaguely similar, we are talking one secret sock and one long school type sock that you need to fold down. I tried my best to tuck it into my shoe but it kept riding all the way up my leg while I was running. I think it is possible that people noticed.

I am just not very good at the sock thing. Usually I don't care because they are underneath my jeans and no one can see. I am not very good at the dressing thing in general. I once went to the climbing gym wearing my trousers back to front. It is possible. They were large trousers. It took AGES before anyone said anything, too.

When some guy finally asked me if my trousers were meant to be that way round, he had this look on his face like "are you OF our species?"

I probably would have got a similar look in South Africa too, but the English are particularly talented at this look of "what I am seeing is too weird to happen so I am not actually seeing it".

Meh. I need a wardrobe assistant. Or even better, an invisibility cloak. How cool would that be? I wouldn't even have to bother with clothes. Think of what a fortune I would save. A bit cold though, perhaps.

You'll have to send him an owl!

Oh crap forgot about the owls. I'm sorry why aren't these wizards online, I mean magic is cool and all but an owl takes longer than an email.

They don't understand us Muggles and our internets...poor little Wizards.

Cant they ask Hermoine (how do you spell that name?) to explain it to them, she is quite the little know-it-all.

Cam said...

I'll ask Hermoine, she's hot!

po said...

She is indeed. But not as hot as Jessica Alba :)

That girl is too hot. I am a girl and she is hot to me.

Although I can't understand why I keep going on about hot girls. I am a happily hooked up hetero lady myself ;)

Thats is strange...maybe Ches is rubbing off on you...in a nice way that is ;)

Yes, I think it may be your bloggy influence :)

Hehehehe.... reminds me of the many times I've forgotten to take a towel to gym and had to dry myself off with my T-shirt before I put it on. Very cool, hey?

In the Sea Point Virgin Active, it is customary for members to put their trousers on back to front.

It allows for better access.
__________

Hee hee - my anti-spam code is TBSHIT.

po said...

Tamara: I have done the same. Of course.

6000: Wha? Now you have disturbed me. Because those trousers I was talking about were button- ups so I cannot imagine the view while I was climbing. Oh god. whywhywhy?

P.S. I agree with the antispam, that day was total bullshit!

Because SPVA is nothing short of a gay pick-up joint.

The steam room is... "educational" for want of a better word, which is "fkn scary".

I "remember" Seapoint but I never went to gym there. Gosh. Lucky I am a girl with my easy access trousers. Wouldn't have wanted to make that mistake if i was a guy.

Although I don't think anyone would have wanted easy access to me in any case, since they were all looking at me like I was alien spawn.

Love the new look and feel, Po :)

If you take a look at some of the style blogs I follow, you can take fashion advice from 12-24 year olds who have more fashion sense than a pair of jimmy choos, and they're not shy to show you how they dress. I've picked up some serious inspiration from a few of my favs. Who needs fashion magazines or personal stylists when you have style blogs - it's all the rage :p

Ooh, thanks for the advice miss sparkles, the problem with me is that i am just not interested in clothes at all. I couldn't be bothered. I seem to be missing some kind of gene or something!
