Gorgeous eye candy!

What do you mean it's just a pile of rocks? This is where G spent the last few days. A climbing mecca in France called Fontainebleau. Even if you are not a climber I am sure you can appreciate the curves on these fine specimens of sedimentary geolithic stratification.*

If you are a climber, I bet you wish you were fondling the generous jugs** and cracks*** on these beauties right now. Don't say I don't spoil you.

*I made that up.
**climbing terminology for big, easy to hold grips
***A crack. In the rock.

You made that up? Impressive, you rock perve ;-)

Hot French maybe, not too sure about the rocks!

I used to boulder in the koppie near our old house...until they decided to build houses on it!

BB: hehe

sleepyjane: you climb?

Tamara: I am a rock perve, they are beautiful. If you have climbing friends you will understand how excited they get over rocks.

Ches: you used to boulder, how cool. They built houses on a boulder?! That is a crime. Boulders rule.

That's so hot right now.

Compared to the kak views I've had all day (laptop, wall, laptop, bed, laptop, laptop, kitchen) it's REALLY looking good!

Am so jealous - that does look great. I cant believe how obsessed i've become with rock since starting to climb. Now I go on holiday and all i can say is "OHHH look at the stunning rock up there why are we down here being tourists?"

dont you love how climber seriously made things certain words jsut so that they could say them in public and be deemed as not being rude. LOL

Hi midnite gem, actually I have been checking out your blog for a while!

I have been out of climbing nearly 2 years cos of an injury and it breaks my heart. But it looks like I can start again in the next month or so! I am so so excited.

Have you ever heard "reach for the crack and smear" and other such filthy things that climbers can get away with?

Hey, cool to know you've been popping by :)

so sorry to hear about the injury - it must be so frustrating. Great to hear you are starting up again soon :) Where do you climb?

LOL, that is classic - i've def heard that and more- I do climb with guys - they just love it !

I live in the Midlands (English) and so I climb at the wall in Warwick University. It is the best wall I have ever climbed on. In London I have been to Westway. Where do you climb?

Walls are nice and all, but I miss Cape Town for easy to reach outdoor climbing that you can squeeze in after work!

I actually only discovered the joys of climbing here in London (i know not exactly what normally happens) so am only going to expereince the cape town climbing when i go back for a holiday in Jan - CANT WAIT!!

otherwise I climb at the castle in london. And trying to get out more on real rock. Have so far tried portland, the peak and the lakes. Loved the peaks so much - and the lakes too.
