Lonely post

Helloooooooooo hellooooooooo helllooooooooooo.

I can hear the echoes around the working world today. Is anyone else still out there (pretending) to work like me?

I am probably going to be in and out of work until I leave for SA; cute furry little plantlets wait for no man or seamonkey. But I am cool with that because I will have three weeks in a beautiful sunny place to make up for it.

I am trying to keep myself company until then by, erm, writing blog posts to myself.

*Waves at self*.

Okay, maybe I should stop doing sniff checks to see if my ethanol bottle is empty...

Peace out.

Hi there. I'm alive. I'm also bored and pretending to be busy but I'm re-reading Harry Potter. \

*yawn*

So bored

I don't blame you, why Harry Potter? Which one? I don't think her writing often stands up to a reread. I am reading the Shantaram at the moment, have you read it? It is quite a rambunctious tale.

P.S. it is pretty cool that you can keep me company from across the seas. Is the internet not cool?

I just finished the philosophers stone... now I am reading the chamber of secrets... and I'm wondering why voldemort focusses on harry so much.

I think its uber cool to be chatting over the web.

Shantaram- tell me more... what is about?

It is about a bank robber from Aus who is in jail for 20 years, and escapes and ends up living in a Bombay slum working for the mafia and fighting on the side of the Afganis in the war against Russia. It is all true too. This guy is a bit of a nutter, he used to rob banks with a toy gun. Awesome story!

Oops, well he is not in jail for more than a few years but his sentence is 20. Steep sentence!

Hellooooooo I am still here! It sucks - but I have one more day to go! Needless to say, I have left all my work for tomorrow and done very little up to now!
When are you coming to SA?

I'm still here too. Just me and the boss today and she is finishing at 12.30pm, so I'll have a quiet, boring afternoon.

Guess I'll just surf the net...

Louisa: I have heard via rumours (sorry I don't have Twitter) that Squishy is born!!! Mega congrats, gonna go over to your blog now.

nemesis: yay for keeping eachother company! Is anyone else out there gonna be working on Xmas eve too? I am gonna need company then for sure. Am visiting your blog now too.

Sid: what you reading? Why are you at work?

Prixie: thanks! Ja, I don't have much space in my luggage for warm clothes, unfortunately I need something for when I arrive back though or will freeze to death :)

i was supposed to be back in jozi for christmas by now, but a spate of bad luck has left me stranded

are you off home soon?

po said...

Sarah: I leave on the 30th. What happened, why you stranded? Is it the weather? I am worried it could happen to me too, the weather here is mental and there is ice everywhere. bleeegh.

Shame I cannot believe you won't be home for Christmas. Hugs.
